Congratulations to the 39 Skyview Middle School students who participated in the Skyview Middle School PTSA Spelling Bee. The Bee went 14 rounds and finished with a championship word of "extraneous"! All students came prepared to win the Bee and gave 100 percent effort.
We are so thrilled to announce our top three: 1st place: Cheransai Koppula, 8th Grade 2nd place: Videep Mannava, 7th Grade 3rd place: Amelia Siddiqui, 7th Grade
Cheransai Koppula will continue onto the next round in the Regional Spelling Bee of King and Snohomish County on March 26 - please wish him luck if you see him around school!
So many thanks are due for an event like this. First, thank you to our amazing Skyview Middle School teachers, Ms. Ernster and Ms. Maleki for moderating the Bee. Much appreciation to our principal, Mr. Wallace, for supporting the event and watching the entire Bee.
These events would not be possible without the generosity and support of our families supporting Skyview Middle School PTSA. It is only through membership and donations that we can host an event like this. THANK YOU PTSA MEMBERSHIP.

Skyview Middle School Spellers and Families!
Skyview Middle School PTSA is funding and facilitating the Scripps National Spelling Bee for the 2022-23 school year.
The Spelling Bee will be held IN PERSON in the Skyview Cafeteria on Wednesday, January 25th, 2023, starting at 5:00 p.m. and students will need to arrive by 4:30 p.m. -If needed due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances a backup date of Wednesday, February 8, 2023, is reserved as well.
Register by November 21, 2022 - REGISTRATION NOW CLOSED
Online registration via this Google form is open now until Monday, November 21, 2022. A day or two before the Thanksgiving break, an email will be sent out to all students registered with the following information: Scripps National Spelling Bee 2022-23 rules, 2022-23 School Spelling Bee Study list with definitions, and the 2023 Great Words, Great Works Book List.
The winner of the Skyview Bee will advance to the 2022-23 Regional Spelling Bee held on Sunday, March 26th, 2023, in Seattle at 1:00 in the afternoon. If the winner cannot make it, the runner up will be asked to attend the Regional Spelling Bee.
