What does Skyview PTSA do?

We wanted to put together a list of what we TYPICALLY do in a school year for our Skyview community (staff, students, & families). Please check it out and let us know if you have questions or want to join our team to help make all of this happen!

• PTSA student events & programs
  • 6th Grade Welcome Night treats for students.
  • 8th Grade Party.
  • Reflections Art program.
  • Spelling Bee.
  • Snacks for students during SBA testing.
  • Multicultural Night (need volunteer).
• Staff appreciation events
  • PTSA or community provided treats/lunches/breakfasts/etc.
• Gift to School Grants
  • Any Skyview Staff member may request a grant to provide additional supplies, curriculum, project materials, etc. Requests are reviewed/approved by a committee (PTSA Board, Principal, Assistant Principal, and PTSA Staff Liaison).
  • Additionally, Certificated Staff may request reimbursement for school related expenditures, up to $100 (based on %FTE).
• Food Pantry
  • Serves Skyview & North Creek High School families.
  • Provides food bags every 2 weeks for those who request. (delivery drivers needed - learn more)
  • Donations are always welcome! (Learn more)
  • Requesting a food delivery is easy. (Learn more)
• Caregiver education events
  • We hope to bring a couple events - partnering with the school admin.
• Supports ASB/School events
  • Eagle Day
  • School Dances
  • Additional if ASB or school requests assistance!
• Partners with Skyview admin team & staff
  • Gather volunteers (Picture Day, Vision & Hearing Screening, Lunchroom Helpers, Winter Social)
  • Monthly Principal meetings
  • Emergency Prep, High Cap & Special Ed Representatives

  • Newsletter every 2 weeks
  • Facebook & Instagram posts most school days (need volunteer)
• Fundraising
  • Pass the Hat
  • Partnerships/Dine-Out Fundraising Events (need volunteer)
