On Wednesday, May 13th, we held our final Skyview PTSA General Membership Meeting of the school year.

Here's a brief recap:

• Normal business (approval of minutes & financials, etc)
• Elected our 2026-27 Executive Board and approved our 2026-27 Budget
• Co-Presidents: Loan Mosescu & Jessica Shaffner
• VP-Communications: Soumya Shridharan
• Secretary: Vivian Scott
• Treasurer: Krystal Fisher

• Hosted a Guest speaker: Shelby Reynolds, NSD Assistant Director for Instructional Technology and Library Services presented an interactive discussion of AI use, policies, and development.

To get the business of the PTSA done during General Membership meetings, we must have enough members present to make a quorum. May is a SUPER busy time, so we VERY much appreciate those who were able to attend!

    • Curious about how artificial intelligence is showing up in your student's school experience and what Northshore is doing about it? Join Shelby Reynolds for an informative presentation and open discussion on AI in K–12 education. You'll hear how NSD is taking a balanced, thoughtful approach to this rapidly changing landscape - building students' critical thinking and digital literacy skills while being intentional about when, how, and whether AI tools belong in learning.
    • We'll cover what tools students have access to, how teachers are being supported, and what families can do at home to stay informed and engaged. Bring your questions - there will be plenty of time for conversation.
