The PTSA does not receive any funds from the school, but instead provides much needed grants to Skyview teachers and staff to help provide important supplements to their curriculum, and other needed items for the students.
A few examples of what's been funded in the past are scientific calculators for math classes, supplies for a special education cooking class, LEGO space shuttle launch system for science, lots of headphones for learning/research & state testing, zoology microscope slide sets, new lab stools, light boards, eagle day rentals & reusable banners, blackout blinds & film for window (for safety), 2025-26 planners for incoming 6th graders, and much, much more.
