Skyview Middle School PTSA is looking for nominations for President and Vice President (VP) of Communications positions. We have interim Co-Presidents: Nancy Tangen & Maria Allen, as well as interim VP-Communications: Nicole Trimble. To officially fill these positions, we will accept nominations from our community. The WSPTA Uniform Bylaws allow members to self-nominate to run for these elected positions.

Also, a potential nominee:
  • Must be a PTA member (though not necessarily a member of the pertinent PTA) 15 days preceding the election.
  • Must be willing to attend required PTA training for the position to which he or she will be elected.
  • Must be enthusiastic and supportive of the local PTA or council.
  • Must believe in the purposes of PTA.
  • May have previous experience in PTA or other associations.
  • Should have knowledge of PTA and its role in the school and community.
  • Should be relied upon to give PTA a satisfactory level of priority and commitment.
  • Should have good relationships with people.
  • Must be fair and objective and able to subordinate personal interests to the interests and well-being of the local PTA or council.
  • Should have vision and be innovative.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
 
If you are interested in any of these positions, please complete the Self Nomination Form by Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 11:59pm

If there is a contested position at the close of the self-nomination period on Tuesday, October 29 at 11:59 pm, the vote will be held via electronic ballot sent to Skyview PTSA members.

If no position is contested, we will hold the election by voice vote during our Special Election Membership Meeting, on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 7pm via zoom.

Once reviewed & confirmed eligible, we will announce the self-nomination submissions soon after the deadline, along with details about the election.
