SMS Pick-Up & Picture Plan

Hello Skyview Families!

Happy start of the school year - It is hard to believe summer is finally coming to a close, and we are about to make history learning online! This communication is solely for the purpose of explaining our process for you to collect classroom materials and to take school photos for Student ID’s, family pictures, and the yearbook. There is a lot of information in this email, so please read all the way to the end.

At Skyview, students and families will have an opportunity to pick up important school items and get their pictures taken on September 14th and 15th between 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Throughout the process described below, students and families will remain in their cars to collect and return items.

Please help keep our staff safe and always wear masks when coming to campus. Do not come on campus if you have any symptoms associated with COVID-19 or if anyone in your family has been exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days. If you are in any of these categories, please email mjefferson@nsd.org to schedule an appointment when it is safe to do so.

Please note:

• O'Connor Photography will be sending order information via email to the parent email address on file after your student's pictures are taken. 
• There is NO option for picture make ups or retakes at this time, please make every effort to make it on one of these two days.

We’ve been hard at work collecting classroom materials students will need for learning at home during Northshore 3.0! Below are our procedures for families:

PICK-UP & Picture PROTOCOLS FOR FAMILIES

Pick-Up Only (no pictures)

• This must occur during the scheduled time for your student. You will use this link to sign up for a time that works for your family: https://signup.com/group/1146998140709918097 
• There are two different signup.com options. Be sure to only sign up on ONE signup.com form and use your assigned entrance.
• Please make sure you show up at your time slot. 
• Please do not block traffic on 35th. Remain in a single file line along the curb. Continue pulling forward as you are able. There will be staff directing you.
• All car passengers must wear a mask, or use a cloth to cover their mouth and nose.
• ALL Pick-Ups Only will be done using the Bus Gate.
• Prepare a sign with your child’s first and last name. Display this sign so that it is clearly visible at the front of your vehicle (attached to windshield visor or propped up on the dash).
• Parking is ONLY allowed in the Main Lot if your student is getting their picture taken. Do not park in the bus area.
• If you are returning items, have all items in the trunk of your car, easily available for removal.
• If you do not have a trunk, you must be ready to hand materials to staff through your passenger-side window. Do NOT get out of your car for any reason. 
• You may not exit your vehicle to get things out of the trunk or the back seat. 

Photographs and Pick-Up

• Please make sure you show up at your time slot. Students must wear their mask while on campus at all times. They will be allowed to remove it during the picture but must put it back on right after the picture. Your student will pick up their school supplies on their way back to the car. Students will need to continue social distancing of 6’ at all times.
• ALL School Photos & Pick-Ups will be done using the Main Gate.
• Please do not block traffic on 35th or the entrance of Canyon Creek Elementary. They will also be conducting distribution on September 14th and 15th.

Walkers 

• Walkers can access Skyview by using the walking path in the Bus Gate. They can either pick up their classroom materials at the bike rack or enter SMS and have their picture taken as well as receiving materials. All walkers must also sign up using the signup.com website.
• You will use this link to sign up for a time that works for your family: https://signup.com/group/1146998140709918097 
• Please make sure you check in at the tent near the bike rack before entering campus. Staff will direct you to pictures if needed. 

• You may only pick up items that belong to your child. 
• Have picture ID ready to present.
• There will be no hugging or touching staff, students, or parents during this event. We understand that it’s been a long time since we have seen each other face to face, but we all must follow the 6’ spacing expectations. 
• All students who are enrolled with NSD for the 2020-2021 school year will keep computers and hotspot. Do not drop off technology at this event unless you are moving out-of-district.  

If you did not return borrowed items in the spring, please bring them to our event. There will be staff available to collect materials. Items could include:

• Textbooks
• Library books
• Sports uniforms
• Band instruments - 8th grade only, or if SMS loaned instrument needs repair
• Musical (Aladdin) scripts
• Choir Robes 
• Computers and other assigned technology (only students leaving NSD)
