Important Update from E-Prep Chair Do you know what to do in the case of an emergency or crisis during school hours? Do not rush to school to pick up your child . Our school is in an area where the additional traffic may impede needed emergency vehicles or personnel from arriving.  If a school evacuation is ordered, your presence at the site could delay evacuation and reunification. We are thrilled to share with you the PTSA grants that have been funded so far this year! We are only able to do this because of donations to our PTSA via our PASS THE HAT campaign . These are items that are NOT in the school budget, so teacher/staff ask PTSA for help. Often, requests are for materials for new student Fun Friday clubs, safety equipment that is not funded by the district, tech that helps teach students, supplies for classrooms (headphones, calculators, storage solutions), etc! Holiday Giving - Gift Cards for Kids in Need Deliver by December 12th! This holiday season, the North Creek/Skyview PTSA Food Pantry is collecting $25 gift cards to provide to food pantry families in need in our North Creek and Skyview community. Reflections Art Competition is HERE!!! We are so excited to be able to offer Skyview students the option of participating in the NATIONWIDE art competition, Reflections. ALL students are encouraged to CREATE original art - there are several categories!  Our PTSA will select judges to find those pieces that will move on to Northshore Council PTSA competition (with other Northshore schools). PTSA - Pass The Hat Donations   Please consider donating to Skyview PTSA through our one and only Pass the Hat  financial support ask for the year. We don't do any fundraising other than this ask at the beginning of the year.  The PTSA does not receive any funds from the school, but instead provides much needed grants to Skyview teachers and staff to help provide important supplements to their curriculum, and other needed items for the students.  A few examples of what's been funded in the past are scientific calculators for math classes, supplies for a special education cooking class, ... read full article
