Welcome to the Class of 2028

& Skyview 6th grade families

My name is Melissa Kline and I am excited to introduce myself and Skyview Middle School PTSA to you! I am honored to serve for the second time as Skyview's PTSA President. I have an 8th grader at Skyview and a 10th grader at North Creek High School. Please send me any questions you may have about Skyview, and I will gladly respond or direct you to the right person if I don’t know the answer.

Please know that our PTSA is working to find innovative ways of connecting you (our families), with the school and our communities. Transitioning into middle school, from elementary school, is a big change for everyone. Parental support in the middle school is different than in elementary school and as a parent you are not able to volunteer in the traditional sense, but you can still be involved and make a huge impact! While it may look different, there are many ways to help at Skyview and one of those is getting involved in PTSA.

Ways to Help:

  • JOIN PTSA by clicking: Membership here
  • Sponsor a Teacher PTSA membership
  • Read PTSA newsletters, they will come in your email (check your junk) and they are also here
  • Help by Participate in Partnerships by linking your Fred Meyer Rewards and Amazon Smile account to Skyview MS PTSA by clicking: Partnerships here
  • PTSA does NOT hold any fundraisers through sales or drives - we only ask for monetary support through a Pass the Hat donation. All funds go directly back into the events/activities/programs/grants that embrace Skyview PTSA's mission & goals.
    • Please consider donating to PTSA: Pass the Hat donations here
    • The PTSA mailing address is: P.O. Box 311, Bothell, WA 98041, and the contact name is Barby Taheri if you need either for your company matching forms
  • Like our Facebook page
  • Volunteer for a committee or an event, click here to see available volunteer opportunities
  • Bring a food donation when we have Staff Appreciation events or to our food pantry for families in need: see PTSA newsletters for sign up links for each event. Find out more about our Food Pantry here

Why Help:
  • PTSA is completely funded by generous donations; we do not sell anything
  • PTSA gives back to the school directly through gift to school grants for our students and staff - here is what was given last year: Funded Items
  • PTSA supports events like Career Day, Eagle Day (think field day for middle school), Spelling Bee, Multicultural Night, and the Reflections Art Program to list a few

Upcoming Events:
  • August 25 - 6th grade and newly enrolled students Parent/Guardian Info Night and PTSA sponsored Ice Cream Social, 6:30-8:00 p.m. Reminder that this event will be on the football field, so please bring chairs or a blanket if you'd like.
  • September 1 - WEB Day: 6th grade students and WEB leaders only
  • September 1 - PTSA get together for all students & families at Park Ridge Church, free ice cream for each PTSA member, Food Pantry food drive, 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. (masks encouraged). Click here for more info!
